How do I check my website's resource usage (like bandwidth and disk space) within StackCP Print

  • 0

Monitoring your website's resource usage is essential to ensure it continues to run smoothly and to avoid any potential overage charges from your hosting provider, Online Audience. StackCP typically provides clear visibility into your resource consumption through the main dashboard or a dedicated statistics section.

Upon logging into your StackCP control panel provided by Online Audience, the Dashboard is often the first place to look for a quick overview of your account's resource usage. You might see graphical representations or summary statistics for key metrics such as:

  • Disk Space Usage: This indicates the total amount of storage space your website files, databases, and emails are currently occupying on the Online Audience servers. Keep an eye on this to ensure you don't exceed your allocated limit. StackCP might display this as a percentage used or as a specific amount of storage consumed out of your total allowance.
  • Bandwidth Usage: Bandwidth refers to the amount of data transferred between your website and its visitors over a given period (usually monthly). This includes the size of the files uploaded and downloaded, as well as the traffic generated by visitors browsing your site. StackCP will likely show your current bandwidth usage for the month and your total monthly allowance. High traffic or large file downloads can lead to increased bandwidth consumption.

If you don't see detailed resource usage on the main dashboard, look for a section labeled "Statistics," "Account Usage," or "Resources" in the main navigation menu or within the dashboard itself. Clicking on this section should provide a more comprehensive breakdown of your resource consumption. You might find detailed graphs or tables showing your usage trends over time.

Within the statistics section, you might also find information on other resources, such as CPU usage (the processing power your website is utilizing) and memory usage (RAM). While these are often more relevant for troubleshooting performance issues, keeping an eye on them can also be beneficial.

Online Audience might also provide notifications within StackCP or via email if your resource usage is approaching or exceeding your plan limits. It's important to pay attention to these notifications to avoid any service disruptions or additional charges.

By regularly checking your resource usage in StackCP, you can proactively manage your website's needs, optimize its performance, and ensure you stay within the limits of your hosting plan with Online Audience. Familiarize yourself with the location of these statistics within your StackCP interface.
